With increasing frequency homes, schools, hospitals, and families in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia are struggling to keep up with the effects of rising waters. 14 military installations spread across 17 local jurisdictions In Hampton Roads.

The new film Tidewater explores how the military and all the surrounding municipalities are working towards solutions in the name of strengthening national security and enhancing economic prosperity.

The 45-minute documentary will be preceded by remarks from Congresswoman Carol Shea Porter.

State Senator David Watters, Roger Stephenson, Stratham representative to the Coastal Risks and Hazards Commission, and Emmie Theberge, Natural Resources Council of Maine will lead an audience discussion following the film.
